The other half secret it eating lean protein such as chicken, prawns,eggs, or edamame beans. They provide lots of stomach filling bulk but few calories.
For years my diet was carbs such as bread and pasta rice, it was not a shock when i put on a lot of weight. Years down the line started going to the gym and it was still taking me a long time to shed the weight, later found out just needed to add more vegetables pulses and also protein to my diet.
